The Wallicher Falls trail is part of a network of walks in the Palmerston section of Wooroonooran National Park.
It can be walked separately or as part of a longer walk from Henrietta Creek to Tchupala Falls Trackhead and possibly on to Crawfords Lookout and the North Johnstone River.
Wooroonooran National Park is an integral part of the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area. Its fertile soils and extremely wet climate have fostered some of the oldest continually surviving rainforests on earth, making this area of universal importance and value.
Wallicher Falls is a short walk upstream along the picturesque Henrietta Creek from the Tchupala Falls Trackhead.
You can gain a superb view of the falls as you approach them along the creek.
If you wish you can then walk past the falls, cross the creek and walk up and over the hill to the base of the falls. You can then return to near the trackhead and do another short walk to Tchupala Falls, or keep walking few more kilometres to Goolagan or Henrietta Creek picnic areas.
Henrietta Creek camping area is adjacent to the Palmerston Highway.
These are e-permit camping areas—all camping must be booked in advance; self-registration is not available. Camping is only permitted in the camping area/numbered camp site(s) you have booked.
