We're never short of an epic sunrise on the Tropical Coast.
This beautiful photo was taken at Mission Beach by one of our locals and we just love it!
Once you have finished enjoying the magnificent beach sunrise, it is only a short drive to Mourilyan where you can immerse yourself in the history of the Sugar Industry at the Australian Sugar Heritage Centre.
See on display many of the innovative implements and machines developed for the Sugar Industry. Examine the pioneering methods and processes on informative audio/visual displays in the Heritage Centre and enjoy a coffee & snack at the Mourilyan Cafe in the same complex.
If you are interested in quality antiques, collectables and restored furniture, see Glyn and Karen at Farlow’s Mourilyan Cash Store, located in the gorgeous 1920’s building in Mill Street, Mourilyan. They have a fabulous range of collectables, some dating back to the 1600’s.
If you are on a caravan or camping holiday, Julie & Cameron at the August Moon Caravan Park have Great Rates on Villas, Cabins, Powered & Unpowered Sites and you can cool off in their Amazing Maze Swimming Pool. Find them here.
Just minutes from Innisfail, BIG4 Innisfail Mango Tree Tourist Park is the perfect place to explore the local area and discover many nearby attractions. From the park you can experience the natural beauty of the tropics by walking along the South Johnstone River into Innisfail. Find them here.

With 8 different types of rooms, they have a room for everyone. From the single traveller to the family or business rep who wants all the facilities in a studio apartment.
As you come into Innisfail, you will find the fantastic family-owned Roscoe's Piazza - with Pizza & Pasta takeaways, Fully Licensed Restaurant & Buffet and Function Room.
Enjoy authentic Italian hospitality while you fuel up your body for your next Tropical Coast adventure.
Speaking of adventure, how about trying a wildlife tour up the Johnstone River in the Snapping Tours glass-bottom boat - they have unique small group experiences with local knowledge, history of the area and keen eyes for spotting crocodiles, birds, snakes and all the wonderful wildlife throughout the river.
Find them on the waterfront in Innisfail.
