Would you like to get close-up with wild animals that are hard to find and that you can only find in the Wet Tropics and nowhere else in Australia or the entire world?
Have you seen our beautiful Yellow-bellied Glider, Mahogany Glider, or Green Ringtail Possum? Maybe you've observed a Lumholtz's Tree Kangaroo, but have you seen our very special Musky Rat-kangaroo or tiny Long-tailed Pygmy-possum? Don't miss out on seeing these marvellous creatures!
If you are mainly interested in mammals, book a half day private Tablelands Tour (afternoon) followed by a Wet Tropics Nocturnal Tour (2.5hrs or 4hrs). You will have an unforgettable experience.
A full day Tablelands Tour targeting birds will get you around 100 species. There are 13 endemic birds in the Wet Tropics. During a full day tour (8 hours) you can expect to see 10 of these. A Wet Tropics Endemic Birds Tour can be booked too, where we focus on the 13 endemic birds; one of which is an owl. This a dawn till dusk tour.
Whichever your focus is, there will always be other wildlife around. The whole Wet Tropics, from the Tropical Coast, over the Atherton Tablelands, to the Daintree is a huge diversity of wildlife. It is just mind blowing.
Enjoy our Wet Tropics. Make the most of it while you're here and get in touch with your guide and naturalist Patrick to discuss the best option for your wildlife experience.
Patrick can pick you up in his 4WD at your accommodation on the Atherton Tablelands or in Cairns.31 Slipper St, Edmonton 4869 QLD
