Natural Wonders are in abundance along the Tropical Coast; Tyto Wetlands – home to many species of flora & fauna, Wallaman Falls - Australia's tallest single-drop waterfall, 14km of pristine golden sand at Mission Beach looking out on the spectacular Dunk Island. Kurrimine Beach where the reef comes right up to the shore, Bartle Frere and Bellenden Ker – the tallest & second tallest mountains in Queensland, World Heritage Listed Rainforest & The Great Barrier Reef. The hardest thing is deciding what to do while you are here – you may have to stay a little bit longer.

Experience the Indigenous Culture of the Tropical Coast, Mungalla Aboriginal Tours at Ingham, the Girringun Aboriginal Art Centre in Cardwell, Ingan Tours at the Tully Railway Station with interpretive tours of the rainforest - immerse yourself in the land, language and culture of the Jirrbal people. Further north, hear the story of the area surrounding the elevated walkway while you walk in the clouds of the Ma:Mu rainforest canopy.

Agriculture is the economic backbone of the Tropical Coast, with Sugar Cane, Bananas & Paw Paw being the main crops. However, it is the niche crops where things get really interesting, with Coffee, Chocolate, Pepper and a host of Exotic Fruits being grown in the region. There are farm tours available and even a Tropical Winery that you can visit.
Since March 2017, Innisfail has held the record for the World's Longest Banana Split at 8,040m.

If it's Adventure you are seeking, you've come to the right place. Skydive onto the golden sands of Mission Beach; blast down the Tully River in a raft; zoom along Mission Beach in a Blokart; explore the Coral Sea coastline in a kayak; tackle challenging rainforest Mountain Bike tracks. Whatever your taste in adrenalin-fuelled activity, the Tropical Coast has you covered.

The Tropical Coast has some of the Best Fishing in Australia, if not the world. Lucinda to Cardwell, Mission and Kurrimine Beaches, the Johnstone Rivers at Innisfail, Mulgrave and Russell Rivers at Deeral, you are spoilt for choice when it comes to your ultimate fishing adventure. Whether you prefer beach, river or reef fishing, you'll find a Tropical Coast operator who can get you hooked up!
